"Paper Mario Introduces First Transgender Character"

The Nintendo Switch remake of "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" includes a transgender character, Vivian, who was also trans in the original 2004 Japanese version but not in the English translation. The new version adopts a more celebratory attitude towards Vivian's trans identity, toning down the bullying she faces from her sisters.
