Pokémon Pokopia hits 5 million, a quarter of Switch 2 players own it

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company say Pokémon Pokopia has sold over 5 million copies globally in just over four months, which, given Switch 2’s ~20 million installed base as of May 2026, means about one in four Switch 2 owners has the game. It sits behind Mario Kart World in Switch 2 sales, and its momentum is helped by the new Expansion Pass Part 1: Bubbly Basin; Nintendo and Koei Tecmo are aiming to balance future releases with ports and smaller titles.
