Pokémon TCG’s 30th Set Breaks Pull Rate Records, Slashing Resale Prices

Kotaku reports the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set delivers unprecedented pull rates—over half of packs yield an EX or better, with high frequencies of Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares (IRs/SIRs). Every pack contains a holo energy and a holo Pikachu in a subset, plus a Classic Collection of favorites. Early data suggests SIRs around 5% and IRs roughly 1 in 5, with RGB Mew/Mewtwo extremely rare (rumored ~1 in 20,000 packs). This abundance is already deflating the previously inflated resale market, with Future Rare Mew/Mewtwo dropping from around $1,000 to about $150 as more players can pull them outright.
