"Rare TimeSplitters 4 Prototype Resurfaces on eBay, Preserving Gaming History"
TL;DR
A rare PS3 prototype of Free Radical's cancelled TimeSplitters 4 game from 2008 was discovered on eBay and has been dumped online, offering a detailed look at the time-travelling first-person shooter's development. The prototype, dated November 2008, was found on a PS3 devkit and has been successfully archived on the preservation website Hidden Palace. This find comes after the recent release of footage from another cancelled TimeSplitters project, TimeSplitters Next, which was being developed by a reformed Free Radical and was ultimately cancelled in December 2023.
