Relooted reclaims history through a stylish anti-colonialist heist
TL;DR
The Verge reviews Relooted, Nyamakop’s Africanfuturist 2.5D heist game, following Nomali and a pan-African crew who reclaim stolen artifacts from colonial powers. The mission-driven, fast-paced gameplay blends clever planning with parkour chases and features a history lesson on Africa’s colonized past; while visuals feel dated, the movement and soundtrack are strong, and the game carries a powerful cultural message. Relooted is available now on Xbox and PC.
