TL;DR

Bloober Team's highly-anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2 resurfaced at the State of Play presentation, showcasing new gameplay but without a release date. The 2024 release date speculation follows Sony's premature announcement earlier this month. The remake aims to bring back the original game's visceral atmosphere without altering the story. Originally released in 2001, Silent Hill 2 is considered one of the best horror games ever made.
