TL;DR

Sony's upcoming PlayStation Portable, designed for portable PS5 gaming, is not intended to compete with Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck, according to Sony boss Eric Lempel. Despite the entry of various handheld devices into the gaming market, the Switch has remained successful, with nearly 130 million units sold worldwide as of June 30, 2023.
