Sony shuts down Concrete Genie developer PixelOpus.

PixelOpus, the PlayStation Studios developer behind Concrete Genie, is shutting down. The studio was established in 2014 to give young developers a start in the industry and released its first game, Entwined, that same year. Its follow-up title, Concrete Genie, was well-received in 2019. PixelOpus was reported to be developing a new PlayStation 5 title in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation in 2021, but the studio has now announced its closure. PlayStation Studios said the decision was made as part of a recent review process to ensure they meet the organization's short and long-term strategic objectives.
