Square Enix Embraces Blockchain with New Partnerships for Web3 Gaming.

Square Enix has partnered with web3 gaming platform Elixir to promote blockchain games to traditional gamers, with the aim of driving mass adoption of web3 gaming during 2023. Elixir is a PC games distribution platform that puts web3 games and regular games side-by-side, with little to distinguish between them. While many gaming companies have cooled on blockchain, Square Enix is investing aggressively in the technology, as demonstrated by a recent set of Final Fantasy 7 NFT trading cards.
