"Square Enix Shakeup: Dragon Quest Producer Steps Down, Nier Automata's Producer to Take Over"
TL;DR
Square Enix's long-time Dragon Quest series producer, Yu Miyake, is reportedly stepping down from his role due to delays surrounding Dragon Quest 12, with plans to lead the company's smartphone games development division. The reorganization effort, led by new president Takashi Kiryu, aims to rely less on external developers and more on in-house studios. Nier series producer Yosuke Saito is a top candidate to replace Miyake, but there's no set timetable for the transition or release date for Dragon Quest 12.
