Star Ocean: The Second Story R Lands on Nintendo Switch 2 with Higher-Res Graphics

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 via the eShop, expected to offer higher resolution; there is no Switch-to-Switch 2 upgrade path and save data won’t be compatible with the original version. The remake keeps the 2.5D aesthetic and adds new battle mechanics, full Japanese and English voice acting, a rearranged soundtrack by Motoi Sakuraba, new illustrations, expanded item creation, and multiple difficulty modes.
