Stardew Valley's 1.6 update, initially planned to be modest and modding-focused, is set to release on PC on March 19th, with console and mobile releases to follow. The update has expanded to include new festivals, items, crafting recipes, dialogue lines, a new farm type, late-game content, winter outfits for villagers, 8-player co-op on PC, and hats for cats and dogs. Developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone also hinted at the game's thriving success, with over 30 million copies sold, and expressed gratitude to the players.
