"Starfield Mod Unleashes DIY Spacestations with Existing Game Code"

A modder named vexthecollector has created a Starfield mod called "Spacestations for Outposts" that allows players to build their own spacestations in the game. It turns out that the code for this functionality was already present in Bethesda's sci-fi RPG, but was not accessible until now. Players need to first build an outpost on a planet in order to access the spacestation building options. The mod is not without its flaws, as some features like docking are still broken. Bethesda has plans to officially support mods for Starfield in 2024.
