Ubisoft Rumored to be Remaking Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

Ubisoft is reportedly working on a remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, with the project still in its early stages and expected to take a few years to complete. The development is being led by Ubisoft Singapore, which is also involved in evolving the ocean technology for the upcoming game Skull and Bones. The studio is reportedly pressuring its developers to work longer hours in order to meet the deadline for Skull and Bones' closed beta in late August. There have been discussions about potentially pivoting Skull and Bones to incorporate elements from Black Flag, such as co-op exploration and hand-to-hand combat. Ubisoft recently confirmed its focus on its blockbuster franchises, making it unsurprising that Assassin's Creed is receiving attention.
