Warhammer 40,000 July Update: Six-Objective Purge Maps and Rule Tweaks

The July update for Warhammer 40,000 delivers the first monthly rules clarifications and balance tweaks for the new edition: Purge the Foe missions now feature six objectives and several detachments’ points and dispositions have been adjusted; Disruption maps have been tweaked to improve matchups; key rules interactions were refined (reviving characters, CP generation limited to one per battle round, dedicated transports must start with embarked units, units may only make a single normal move per phase, and stackable debuffs were trimmed); several smaller units gain or lose the Frame keyword, and there’s clearer guidance on first-turn deep strikes. Combat Patrol now has fuller app support with War Journal. The studio will monitor data and issue another update in about a month, with a quarterly balance datasheet planned for autumn, and the team will be at major tournaments to gather feedback.
