CD Projekt Red revealed in an earnings call that The Witcher 3 expansion Songs of the Past will launch in 2027 instead of this year, described as a large expansion and a prologue to The Witcher 4. Co-developed by Fool’s Theory, it’s expected to have a scope similar to Blood and Wine, with pricing and exact dates yet to be announced. The company plans three Witcher games in six years, and Witcher 4 expansions aren’t expected; a Gamescom reveal will be guided rather than hands-on, with higher PC requirements anticipated.
