The game's new gameplay ideas are intuitive, making it easy for first-time players to get into. The story is also designed to be comfortable for both first-time players and those with experience of the previous game. The game's developers also shared that "hands" is a major theme in Tears of the Kingdom, with Link using his hand to solve puzzles and special doors opening with hand movements.
