
Nintendo veteran Takashi Tezuka to retire after four decades shaping Zelda and Mario
Legendary Nintendo designer Takashi Tezuka—whose work spans classics like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario World, Yoshi’s Island, and Breath of the Wild—will retire as an executive officer on June 26 after more than 40 years with the company; he’ll be among several directors stepping down, and Nintendo’s latest financials also note a price increase for the Switch 2.
