"Modder Transforms Rare PS1 Controller into Fully Functioning Handheld PlayStation"
TL;DR
A modder in Florida has transformed a PS1 console into a handheld device called the PS Hanami, using original PlayStation hardware and an optical drive emulator. The handheld, around 7 inches long, features a built-in battery and integrates a DualShock controller with rumble functionality, but lacks volume controls and heatsinks. Despite its technical achievements, the modder acknowledges several issues with the device, including a "finicky" power button and heat buildup.
