GTA 6 incentive nets four-day leave for Fort Stewart reenlistees

A Fort Stewart-based engineer battalion, led by Lt. Col. Ryan Hodgson, is offering eligible soldiers who reenlist between Aug. 1 and Nov. 14, 2026 a special four-day leave aligned with GTA 6’s release. The four days will be scheduled with the chain of command to coincide with the game’s rollout (Nov. 19 for PS5/Xbox). About 20 of 130 eligible soldiers had accepted the offer as of this week. The incentive is a local retention tactic to boost the unit’s fiscal year 2027 reenlistment goals and reflects broader Army efforts to use non-traditional perks to retain personnel.
