Apple unveils first foldable iPhone Duo with the 18 Pro lineup and refreshed wearables

Apple pulled the wraps off its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, priced at 1,999 and featuring a 5.4-inch cover that folds out to a 7.6-inch main display, while also launching the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max (1,199 and 1,299) with faster A20 Pro CPUs, upgraded GPUs/Neural Engine, longer batteries (24h/30h) and a variable aperture. The event also introduced the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 with enhanced ANC and real-time translation, plus Siri AI across apps. The 18 Pro family goes on sale Sept. 18; AirPods 5 start at $129 ($149 for the higher-end case). Analysts discuss foldables’ market potential and Apple’s AI strategy as key themes.
