Beeper's Complex Quest to Bring iMessage to Android

Beeper, the app that aims to enable iMessage on Android devices, has introduced a new fix that requires users to own or have easy access to a trusted Mac. The update allows Beeper to create "unique" registration data, making the connection more reliable. However, users will need to periodically refresh the registration data by turning on their Mac regularly. Beeper claims that multiple iMessage users can safely share the same registration data. These updates, while promising, limit the appeal of Beeper Mini, which initially only required an Android smartphone and phone number to send iMessages. Apple has consistently found ways to shut down Beeper's iMessage capabilities, and it is likely to continue doing so.
