Facebook Bug Sends Automatic Friend Requests, Meta Fixes Issue.

Facebook has fixed a bug that automatically sent friend requests to any profile a user viewed, blaming the glitch on a recent app update. The social media platform does not allow users to see who has viewed their profiles, but this bug sent friend requests to anyone who clicked through to a profile. Some users reported embarrassment and even deactivated their accounts due to the glitch. This comes after a different Facebook bug last month overcharged customers for ads and Meta had to remove Facebook ads from hacked pages containing malware.
