Ford's 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC Delivers GTD-like Power for a Fraction of the Price

Ford confirms the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC uses a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 to produce 795 hp and 660 lb-ft, positioning it as a GTD-like performer while costing about a third of the GTD. The SC is lighter (about 150 lb) and track-focused, featuring a Track Pack with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Rs, plus rear-seat deletion and a carbon-fiber hood vent that increases downforce. It’s available to order now with deliveries starting this summer. Shelby remains separate from Ford’s official lineup for this model.
