Snapchat influencer Caryn Marjorie has launched an AI-powered chatbot called CarynAI, which charges users $1 per minute to chat with it. The chatbot, which uses OpenAI's GPT-4 API, generated $71,610 in revenue in about a week during its beta test. Marjorie anticipates being able to earn up to $5 million a month from it. The AI feels more like an "intimacy-ready Siri" than a virtual girlfriend, according to a Fortune reporter. Marjorie said she was aware that her AI persona could also put her at risk of further stalking but had hired 24/7 security and would not share her location with her followers.
