The Realities and Hype of Artificial Intelligence in Tech

The belief that software would "eat the world" and disrupt traditional industries has not come to fruition, and the same may be true for AI. While AI will have a significant impact on the economy, it will likely be concentrated in information-focused industries and occupations. Human workers will still have an advantage in industries where people prefer to interact with other people, such as caring professions and luxury experiences. A.I. very likely will lead to lower employment in some occupations, but it won't necessarily lead to big job losses.
