YouTube Explores AI Tools for Comment Summaries, Conversations, and Video Questions

YouTube is introducing new generative AI features, including a conversational tool and a comments summarizer. The conversational tool will use AI to answer questions and make recommendations about YouTube content, allowing users to engage in conversations while watching videos. The comments summarizer will organize and summarize topics discussed in large comment sections, helping viewers catch up on discussions and providing creators with insights. These features will be available on an opt-in basis through YouTube's experimental hub, initially for YouTube Premium members in the U.S. on Android devices. The tests will continue over the next few weeks and months as YouTube gathers user feedback.
