Leaked specifications for the unannounced PlayStation 5 Pro reveal significant upgrades to the CPU and GPU, with a reported release planned for the fourth quarter of 2024. The console is said to feature a 10% increase in CPU frequency, faster rendering, and higher quality ray tracing powered by 33.5 teraflops, compared to the standard PS5's 10.28 teraflops. The PS5 Pro is also rumored to include an upscaling/antialiasing solution, custom machine learning architecture, and an AI accelerator, along with a detachable disc drive and 1TB of storage space. Sony has yet to comment on the leaked specifications, but analysts suggest the PS5 Pro is designed to generate interest ahead of the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2025.
