A house in Gilbert, Arizona, was heavily damaged after fireworks reignited in a trash can, causing flames to spread to the home and attic. The homeowners had extinguished the fireworks in a bucket of water and believed they were cool before disposing of them. Fire officials recommend soaking fireworks in a metal bucket away from the home for at least 24 hours.
