Honda recalls over 500,000 CR-Vs for rust concerns.

The US National Highway Traffic Administration has issued a recall for 790,000 cars, with Honda and Volkswagen accounting for most of the recalls. Honda is recalling 563,711 vehicles for potentially having corroded frames, while Volkswagen is recalling 143,053 of its SUVs because the front passenger air bags may be deactivated. Kia is recalling 51,568 of its Carnival minivans because the auto-reverse feature on the power sliding doors may not activate, while Porsche is recalling 489 vehicles for spherical joints, which connect the wishbone suspension components on the front and rear axles, for not meeting Porsche’s service life durability expectations. BMW is recalling 51 vehicles for improperly welded seat frames which may not properly restrain occupants during a crash.
