Amazon Games Implements Major Layoffs, Discontinues Gaming Content Channel

Amazon is cutting over 180 jobs in its games division and making changes to its gaming initiatives, including shutting down its Crown channel on Twitch, closing its Game Growth effort, and refocusing its work with free games offered through Prime Gaming. The company stated that it needs to focus its resources on delivering great games to players now and in the future. This follows previous layoffs in April and is part of Amazon's ongoing restructuring efforts.
