Delays and Appeals Surround Microsoft and Activision Merger

A group of individual plaintiffs has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to temporarily halt Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, separate from the request made by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. The filing comes after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the FTC's request, clearing the way for Microsoft to close the deal. The FTC is considering its options after its losses in its bid to stop the merger. Additionally, Microsoft's appeal against Britain's block on the takeover has been paused to allow more time for resolution.
