UAW President Shawn Fain stated that the union plans to strike the companies in a way they have never seen before, initially targeting a limited number of locations and adding more plants as needed. While the union aims for a fair agreement, it has not ruled out the possibility of a full-scale strike. The automakers' latest proposals include wage increase offers ranging from 17.5% to 20%, but the UAW considers them inadequate. The first targeted plants will be announced on Thursday if no deal is reached.
