Breakthrough in 1981 Cold Case: New Hampshire Beauty School Student's Killer Finally Identified

After more than four decades, the cold case murder of Laura Kempton in New Hampshire has been solved through DNA analysis and forensic genealogy technology. However, the killer, Ronney James Lee, died from a cocaine overdose in 2005. The conclusion of the investigation brings a bittersweet resolution for Kempton's family, but also sends a message that the state will never stop working on cold cases. New Hampshire has 130 cold cases still being pursued, and genetic genealogy is increasingly being used to solve such cases.
