Carlos Ghosn sues Nissan for $1 billion.

Carlos Ghosn, the former head of Nissan and Renault, has filed a $1 billion lawsuit against Nissan and a dozen individuals in Beirut, accusing them of defamation and fabricating charges against him that led to his imprisonment in Japan. Ghosn, who escaped from Japan to Lebanon in 2019, has repeatedly claimed his innocence. The lawsuit was filed last month, and a hearing date has been set for September. Nissan and the accused individuals are expected to send representatives to Beirut or name a Lebanese lawyer to represent them.
