Driver Defends Friendship with Treat Williams, Calls Charges Unwarranted in Fatal Crash

The driver accused of causing a crash that killed actor Treat Williams, Ryan Koss, denies wrongdoing and claims charges are unwarranted. Koss, who knew Williams and considered him a friend, expressed his condolences to the actor's family. A Vermont State Police investigation found that Koss' vehicle pulled in front of Williams' motorcycle, but Koss maintains that he obeyed all traffic laws. Williams, known for his roles in TV series and movies, was pronounced dead at a hospital in New York. Koss has been cited for grossly negligent operation causing death and is scheduled to appear in court in September.
