Mother of Virginia boy who shot teacher to plead guilty to child neglect

The mother of a 6-year-old boy who shot his teacher in Virginia is expected to plead guilty to state charges of child neglect, while federal gun charges have already been pleaded guilty to as part of a plea deal. The mother purchased the gun and stored it in her bedroom closet, secured by a trigger lock, but her son brought it to school in his backpack. The 6-year-old will not face criminal charges, and sentencing for the mother's federal charges will take place in October.
