Tragedy Strikes Bronx Day Care: 1-Year-Old Dead, 3 Children Hospitalized

A 1-year-old boy has died and three other children have been hospitalized after possibly ingesting fentanyl at a Bronx day care center. The children were found unresponsive in the basement after going down for naps. All four children had eaten something about 90 minutes earlier. The cause of their condition is under investigation, and police are looking into whether fentanyl or another drug was consumed. The day care had recently passed an inspection with no violations. A search warrant is being executed at the center.
