Violent Shootings Shake Los Angeles, Leaving Multiple Dead and Authorities Investigating

Eduardo Escobedo, a convicted drug trafficker linked to the Sinaloa cartel and who worked for the son of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, was shot and killed in Los Angeles. Escobedo, known as "El Mago," served time in federal prison for drug distribution and money laundering. He was involved in the primary distribution of marijuana in Los Angeles for Guzman's son and was alleged to have ordered a rival trafficker's murder in 2008. The motive for Escobedo's killing remains unknown. Another man, Guillermo De Los Angeles Jr., was also killed in the incident.
