"Bill Maher's 'Real Time' Delayed Amid Talk Show Strike Negotiations"
TL;DR
Bill Maher has postponed the return of his show, Real Time with Bill Maher, on HBO, joining other hosts like Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Hudson in delaying their return to the studio due to criticism from writers and actors. Maher initially planned to bring back his show "sans writers," but the Writers Guild of America (WGA) called his decision disappointing and threatened to picket his show. However, Maher has now cited optimism around talks between the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for his change of mind.
