Black Phone 2: Sequel Sparks Horror and Box Office Buzz
TL;DR
Black Phone 2, a horror sequel directed by Scott Derrickson, attempts to expand on its predecessor by introducing supernatural elements and a religious undertone, but it struggles with convoluted plot, unoriginal villain, and unscary set pieces, making it a disappointing entry that fails to justify its franchise potential.
