TL;DR

"Blue Beetle" has surpassed "Barbie" at the domestic box office, claiming the No. 1 spot with a debut of $25.4 million. Despite a softer-than-expected opening, the DC superhero film managed to generate $43 million globally. "Barbie" landed in second place with $21.5 million, bringing its total earnings to $567 million. "Blue Beetle" is the third DC film this year to have a disappointing start, following "Shazam: Fury of the Gods" and "The Flash." The film's performance will determine the future of superheroes in 2023. Additionally, the comedy film "Strays" had a lackluster debut, earning only $8.3 million.
