TL;DR

Hannah Harper, a 25-year-old mom from Willow Springs, Missouri, won American Idol Season 24 during the May 11 finale, making her the first female country artist to win since Carrie Underwood. Runner-up was Jordan McCullough and third place went to Keyla Richardson. Harper debuted with the original song 'String Cheese' about postpartum depression, celebrated with family, and plans a fall tour, as Lionel Richie urged her to focus on what comes next rather than chasing a single hit.
