'Hunger Games' Prequel Secures SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement

The Hunger Games prequel, "The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes," has received an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA, allowing its onscreen talent to promote the film ahead of its release next month. The agreement was granted because Lionsgate, the film's production company, is not part of the ongoing negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, who are currently engaged in an actors strike. The prequel, based on Suzanne Collins' novel, features a star-studded cast and is set to hit theaters on November 17.
