Jude Law Stars as Putin in Olivier Assayas' 'The Wizard of the Kremlin'
TL;DR
‘The Wizard of the Kremlin’ is a sprawling, intermittently engaging film by Olivier Assayas that chronicles three decades of post-Soviet Russia, with Jude Law portraying Vladimir Putin. The film explores Russia's transformation into an authoritarian regime through the eyes of a fictionalized spin doctor, Vadim Baranov, but struggles with pacing and character development, ultimately serving as an ambitious but uneven portrait of power.
