Kaylee Hottle, the 18-year-old actress known for Godzilla vs. Kong, died after a July 21 single-car crash in Frederick County, Maryland. The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled her death an accident, caused by multiple blunt force injuries. The crash involved a 19-year-old driver allegedly speeding; Hottle was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead while the driver and a second passenger were injured (the second passenger declined treatment). Hottle’s father confirmed the news to TMZ and noted she would be an organ donor, praising his daughter as very smart and kind.
