Marvel Adjusts Release Dates for Agatha, What If...?, Echo, X-Men '97, and More

Marvel has reportedly shifted the release dates for several upcoming Disney+ shows, including Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Echo, What If...?, X-Men '97, and more, due to ongoing strikes and changes to Disney's streaming service strategy. The strikes by SAG-AFTRA and the WGA have impacted production and development, but Marvel also wants to make each title an event for fans, leading to a spread-out release schedule. Loki's second season is still set for October 6, but What If...?'s second season has been pushed to near Christmas Day. Echo and X-Men '97 have been delayed to January 2024 and early 2024, respectively. Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is now scheduled for early fall 2024. Other shows impacted by the strikes include Ironheart, Daredevil: Born Again, and Wonderman.
