Lionsgate Reschedules The Resurrection Of The Christ: Part I to 2027, Part II to 2028

Lionsgate has pushed Mel Gibson’s The Resurrection Of The Christ: Part One to May 6, 2027 and Part Two to May 25, 2028 (Ascension Day weekends), swapping from earlier March 2027/Ascension Day dates. Johnny Depp’s Day Drinker will take the March 26, 2027 slot. Principal photography wrapped after 134 days in Italy, with international distribution planned through Icon Productions partners, as a major epic follow-up to The Passion of the Christ.
