Sam Neill, the New Zealand actor best known for Jurassic Park, has died at 78. A co-star said he had pneumonia before his death, while his family described the passing as sudden and noted he had previously been cancer-free after treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Tributes poured in from colleagues including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Steven Spielberg, Cillian Murphy and Nicole Kidman; Neill’s long career included more than 150 credits and he was knighted in New Zealand in 2022.
