TL;DR

Critics are mixed on the Prime Video adaptation of Patricia Cornwell’s Scarpetta novels, praising an all-star cast led by Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis for elevating the thriller, while noting the story often feels familiar and occasionally bogged down by detours. With Rotten Tomatoes at 69% and Metacritic at 55, reviews highlight strong performances and chemistry (especially Cannavale and Rosy McEwen’s portrayal) but vary on narrative pacing and originality as the two-timeline series debuts Season 1 on Prime Video.
